Zikr — Privacy & Account Rules

English / Русский • Last updated: 2026-10-17

Overview

Zikr is a bilingual prayer & dhikr app designed to help you keep a consistent routine: accurate prayer times, scheduled Azan reminders, dhikr/tasbih counters, habits and analytics. This page explains what data the app uses, how it is stored, how to request deletion, and the rules we follow to protect your privacy.

Data we collect

  • Optional account information: Firebase Authentication processes your email address and account identifier when you sign in with Google or email/password. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are not included in app-data backups.
  • Optional cloud backup: if you sign in, prayer records, habits, tasbih/dhikr counters, settings and related app data are synchronized to a private Firestore document associated with your Firebase account. Google Play Premium entitlement and passwords are not synchronized.
  • Local app data: prayer records, planned times, dhikr counts, tasbih lists, habits and settings are stored in the app's local storage on your device. Local data may be lost if you uninstall the app unless you have signed in and cloud sync completed.
  • Optional location: only if you enable location-based prayer times. The app will send approximate location (city) to a third-party prayer times API (e.g., AlAdhan) after asking for permission.
  • Payments: purchases are processed by Google Play — we do not collect card details. Purchase receipts may be used to unlock Premium features and are processed by Google Play.
  • Advertising data: the app uses Google AdMob production ad units to request a small banner on non-prayer screens for non-Premium users and, when a user chooses to add a routine beyond the first five, an optional rewarded video. One additional routine is added only after Google Mobile Ads confirms both required rewarded views. Ad length and skip controls are set by the ad provider. Google Mobile Ads may process device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, consent choices, ad interactions, reward/completion and diagnostics to serve, personalize, measure and limit ads, subject to your consent and Google settings. Ads may not be served until AdMob completes app verification and enables ad serving.
  • Diagnostics / crash reports: the app does not intentionally send app analytics or crash reports unless a separately disclosed service is enabled.

How we use data

Data is used to provide app features, synchronize your backup when you sign in, and show banner or optional rewarded ads to non-Premium users where permitted. Watching ads is optional; declining does not create a routine. We do not sell personal data. Google may still process data as described in its own policies.

Advertising and Google AdMob

Zikr uses Google AdMob to show small banner ads to non-Premium users outside prayer screens. If a user chooses to add a habit beyond the five free habits, the app may offer two optional rewarded videos for one additional habit. Watching is voluntary, and the habit is granted only after both rewards are confirmed by Google Mobile Ads. Ads do not unlock tasbih features. Ad length, skip availability and ad content are controlled by Google and the advertiser; the app cannot guarantee that every ad can be skipped or block every unsuitable ad.

Before requesting ads, the app uses Google's consent messaging where required. Depending on the user's choices, region and device settings, Google Mobile Ads may process advertising/device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, consent choices, ad interactions, reward status and diagnostics to deliver, personalize, measure and limit ads. Users can review Google's privacy information at Google Privacy Policy and manage ad personalization through My Ad Center. Ad availability is subject to AdMob review and serving limits.

Third parties & SDKs

The app integrates with or may use the following services:

  • Google Play Billing (payments)
  • Firebase / Google Sign-In (optional auth & sync)
  • Google Mobile Ads and its User Messaging Platform (banner advertising and consent choices)
  • AlAdhan or similar prayer times API (optional)
  • flutter_local_notifications and tz (local scheduling)

These third parties have their own privacy practices. Enabling account sync sends selected app data to Firebase under your account. Ad requests are made only after the Google consent flow allows them. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads information.

Data retention

Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data. If you enable account sync, the Firestore backup remains until you request deletion. Firebase Authentication account records and purchase records are handled under Firebase and Google Play retention policies.

Subscriptions & Billing

Zikr offers Premium access via a subscription (managed through Google Play Billing). Subscription features (unlimited habits, extra tasbih slots, advanced analytics) are unlocked after purchase. Typical offers may include a free trial period (for example: 1 month free) — the trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions purchased via Google Play auto-renew by default. To avoid future charges, cancel before the next billing date. Cancelling a subscription will stop future renewals but your Premium access usually remains active until the end of the current paid period.

How to cancel (Google Play)

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on your device.
  2. Tap your profile icon (top-right) → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
  3. Find "Zikr" in the list and tap it → Cancel subscription → follow the prompts.

Google's official help page for managing subscriptions: Manage subscriptions on Google Play.

Restore purchases & support

If you reinstall the app or install on another device with the same Google account, use the app's "Restore purchases" button (Profile → Restore purchases) or sign in with the same Google account and the app will restore entitlements. If restore fails, contact support: or .

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Google Play. If you need a refund, request it through Google Play Help: Request a refund from Google Play. We may assist with information about your purchase if needed.

Display modes — Day & Night

This page supports a Day (light) and Night (dark) viewing mode for comfortable reading on different screens. Use the top "Day / Night" control to switch. The app also supports light/dark themes for its UI — ensure readability when using dim screens (tungi chiroq mode) or bright daylight (kunduzgi chiroq mode).
